Can you afford not to do this?

“I want to do this, but I don’t think I can commit the time.”

This is one objection I have the experience to counter. Here’s why ...

When I started my business 20 years ago …

I was holding down a full-time job, I had two toddlers under the age of three (and no family that could help babysit if I needed) and

I was doing all I could to run my copywriting business in the evenings.

AND I had no idea what I was doing!

I had no business experience and no mentor or online course showing me the ropes and helping me avoid mistakes.

In fact, I made every mistake in the book along the way!

But I was determined to make it work. I made making it work my absolute priority.

Why?

Because I knew that if I succeeded, I’d no longer be a slave to the 9 to 5.

I would no longer have to spend within a fixed salary income every month.

I’d have time to go out with my friends for coffee midday without worrying about the boss keeping me on the clock.

I’d be able to turn up at my kid’s sports days without asking for permission for time off.

I could travel back to the UK or anywhere, whenever I wanted.

You get the picture.

I was looking to escape the conventions of a normal job.

I could see, even then, the opportunities that the Internet held.

I was doing this for my future and the future of my family.

So, when I get that excuse from someone, I tell this story.

You see, it’s not about time.

We all have the same 24 hours in the day.

It’s how we choose to use the 24 hours we all have that makes the difference.

Those that decide they don’t have time never will.

Those that make the time and set priorities get things done and ACHIEVE and grow great businesses.

Set aside some of those things that are going on and focus on the short-term work now that will give you the long-term gains you are going to reap in the future.

It’s all a matter of flipping the script.
